Left & Centre with Anisha Samanta

News-

We’ve got another new addition to the Leftie crew: PR Account Manager, Anisha Samanta. In our short time together, we’ve learnt that she dreams of Japanese cuisine (sometimes literally) and has the attention to detail of a sushi chef armed with tweezers. We threw her a few left-field questions to fill in the rest.

What’s something you bring to a team that doesn’t show up on your CV?
I hate leaving tasks unfinished. Knowing something is carrying over into the next day bothers me, so I like to finish what I start and keep things moving.

What sort of brief or problem lights you up?
Anything involving scattered data that needs to become a compelling story. Finding the angle through current news and trends, then making it resonate, is the fun part.

What’s your most irrationally strong opinion?
Waking up early. You’ll never convince me it’s worth it.

What’s a tiny joy you’re very serious about?
My after-work tea sessions on the balcony are non-negotiable.

What’s your most defensible bad taste?
Toxic reality TV. I’ll absolutely watch it — and defend it.

In keeping with the theme, we also wrote her a welcome haiku.
